Junior Choir Auckland

Junior Choir is currently open for enrolments for terms 3 and 4 2025!

After an exceptional 2024 season that included singing with Roderick Williams OBE (who sang at the coronation of King Charles), and performing at the Kids Sing and Junior Treble Festival, as well as beginning 2025 with a wonderful concert of our own, we are delighted to welcome new singers to enrol for terms 2-4 2025.

Dates:
Weekly rehearsals run to school terms.

Concert Season 2025 - Theme - "He  Pūrākau - Telling Tales"
9 April - Whānau and Friends night - "Tales as Told through Time" 
22 June - Matariki Concert - "Navigating the Stars" - in collaboration with the Young Women's Choral Project of San Francisco
6 September - "He Pūrākau - Telling Tales"
15 November or 6 December - "Seasonal Songs Retold"

Plus events such as workshops/concerts - details provided upon registration.

PLEASE NOTE:
New singers joining Term 3 will participate in the Junior Treble Festival on Friday August 1, but are only be expected to perform in massed items.
Any performance in NZCCA only items at the Junior Treble Festival will be solely at the discretion of Artistic Directors.

New singers joining Term 3 will not be expected to participate in Kids Sing 2025 on Wednesday August 6, as all repertoire for this event has been learnt and polished in the previous 2 terms. However, if demonstrating necessary readiness, and on a case-by-case basis, participation may be offered at the discretion of Artistic Directors.

New singers joining in Term 3 will however fully participate in the Term 3 Concert “He Pūrākau : Telling Tales” on September 6 singing all items in this event.

Parent & Chorister Commitment

• Enrolment - via website
• Contract - signed
• Handbook - Choristers will be issued a Handbook that outlines the commitment to NZCCA
• Fees - as per schedule below
• Music Issue - choristers will be issued music under signed contract that they will care for it appropriately
• Concerts - at least two concerts are expected each year, with the possibility of other presentations throughout the year. Further instructions will be communicated via our memos, emails and Parent/Whanau zone on Google Drive.

PLEASE NOTE THAT COMMITMENT TO THE ENTIRE 2025 SEASON IS ESSENTIAL TO GIVE CHORISTERS GOOD SKILL DEVELOPMENT, TEAM COHESION, & TO ALLOW US TO FULFIL IMPORTANT PERFORMANCE ARRANGEMENTS.

Choir Fees 2025 (Auckland Choirs Only)

Junior Choir (7-9yrs)

New choristers have two options for payment:

Option 1. A one off fee of $475 ( 25% discount) for terms 3-4 2025. 
Pay before the end of week 2 of term 3.
This is refundable up to the first 3 weeks of term 3,  minus $100 administration fee. 

Option 2. $350 term fee due before the end of week 2 every term. 
This is refundable up to the first 3 weeks of the term paid, minus $100 administration fee. 

There will be additional payments from time to time eg. $25 T shirt for new students, possible festival registrations, off site workshops outside normal Wednesday rehearsal times.
